R. Brodock Obituary

R. Jonathon Brodock
Hyde Park, Utah - Our loving son, brother, grandson, nephew, uncle and dear friend Richard Jonathon Brodock has been reunited with his loving heavenly family and Father in Heaven. Jon was born on Dec. 9, 1983 in Great Falls, Montana to Richard and Alisa Stenersen Brodock.
Our Jon had a special way of making everyone around him laugh and bring light to any room he was in. He has a heart of gold and deeply cares about his family, especially his nieces and nephew, and his special angel Alex. Jon had a special bond with his sweet Mother Alisa. Jon was vivacious in life with his infectious smile and spunky personality, he loved being outdoors and riding his motorcycles. We will always remember the summer he rescued a litter of kittens because he has such a love for animals. He was given the gift of art and expressed that in the master pieces we always cherish. Jon was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He achieved his Eagle Scout, then later graduated from Sky View High School where he played football and earned his diploma in 2002. He served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and touched many lives in the Rapid City, South Dakota mission from 2004 to 2006. Jon was married to Heidi Luke in 2008 and later divorced. He enjoyed working with his brothers at the family business Intermountain Pallet and for LeGrand Johnson, where he loved driving truck. Jon was planning to further his education at Utah State University in the spring. Jonny you will forever live on in the people you touched in this life and we can't wait to see you again in the next.
Jon is survived by his parents Rick and Alisa Brodock, of Hyde Park, Utah; two brothers Josh (Tara) Brodock, of Smithfield, Utah; and Aaron (Brittany) Brodock, of Logan, UT; and a sister Emily Brodock, of Hyde Park; his grandparents Alfred (Barbara) Stenerson, of Salmon, Idaho; a nephew Kamden Brodock, and two nieces Mya and Maliya Brodock, and his angel Alexandrea Museus, of Logan, Utah. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by a brother Bartholomew Brodock and his grandparents Micki and Robert Brodock.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013 at noon in the Hyde Park Ward Chapel at 480 N. 100 West in Hyde Park. A viewing will be held Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the church and Saturday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. also at the church. Interment will be in the Hyde Park City Cemetery. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.webbmortuary.com. Arrangements are under the direction of Webb Funeral Home in Preston, Idaho.
In Lieu of flowers a fund has been established in Jon's name at Zion's Bank to assist with funeral expenses.

Hey Jon! I am honored to have had your Love & Light while I participated with you at the Impact trainings! You were an example to me of a caring & peace-loving person. You walked with me as I worked to take down my walls. Thank you for being there as I discovered who I am - a Spiritual Being of Light. You are an awesome Spiritual Being of Light. I know you have graduated from this human experience and you are on to other amazing adventures, and I miss you here. I am comforted in knowing I can still feel your Light & Love, just not see you for awhile. I challenge you to move forward in the next life completing all you dreams there in a pain-free and peaceful existence!

I had the privilege of being one of Jon's companions on his LDS mission in Grandforks, ND for a few cold winter months. I was actually his last. Deffinately one of the funnest times spent on the mission was with him. Always smiling and looking for opportunties to serve others and make a difference. I'm sadened to hear of the news and hope the best for his family and friends. I know he had a strong testimony of the gospel and believed in it! God Bless ya Jon!!

Though I haven't seen Jon in a few years since I moved away, I can still clearly remember his smile and jovial personality as we joked around all to often in school and on the field. May you find the solace you seek. Our condolences to his family.
