Randy Taylor Obituary

Randy Taylor
August 24, 1960 - September 27, 2017
Randy Thomas Taylor, 57, of Clifton, Idaho, died peacefully in his home surrounded by his loving family and friends Sept. 27, 2017, after a courageous battle with brain cancer.
Randy was born in Marengo, Iowa, on Aug. 24, 1960. He graduated from Belle Plaine High School in 1978. He joined the LDS Church at age 19 and served a mission to Sendai, Japan. Randy enjoyed his service to the church - especially his favorite calling with the nursery children.
Randy was a kind, loving man and deeply cherished all of his friends and family. Randy worked hard all his life and built a successful business, Nuts for You, in Preston, Idaho.
Randy was a gifted musician who shared his talents with all around him. He especially enjoyed playing bass guitar in his classic rock band, 4th Ryte.
Randy will be missed dearly and his loss leaves a whole in our hearts. Randy leaves behind a loving family, and many, many friends. He is survived by his wife Katrina; children Megan (Ben) of Eielson, Alaska; Morgan (Adam) of Hurricane, UT; Hunter, Logan, Macy; grandchildren Charles, Eva and James; mother Imogene Taylor of Belle Plaine, Iowa; sister Shelly (Scott) of Newhall, Iowa, and her children Kaleb, Alicia and Jacob; brother Steve of Preston, Idaho, and his children Amanda and Braylin.
Randy was preceded in death by his grandparents; father Louis Taylor; and little sister Rhonda.
Services will be held Saturday, Sept. 30, at 12:30 p.m. in the Clifton LDS chapel, 170 W. 100 North, Clifton, ID. A viewing will be held Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the church in Clifton and Saturday from 11 am to noon also at the church prior to services. Interment will be in the Clifton Cemetery.
The family wishes to express their deep appreciation to Dr. David Beckstead, FCMC Hospice, Huntsman Cancer Institute, The American Cancer Society Hope Lodge of Salt Lake City, as well as the many family and friends who provided countless acts of service over the last few months.
