Rory Marc Hoth

1981 - 2023

Rory Marc Hoth 41, passed away unexpectedly on August 4, 2023. Rory was born October 15, 1981, in Logan Utah. The youngest of 8 children to Marlin Clyde and Onda "Lyn" Sanders Hoth of Providence Utah.

He graduated high school in 2000. From a young age, he enjoyed hunting and fishing with his dad and brothers. Many memories were made in the Beirdneau area. Being the youngest, he made the perfect 'brush bunny."

At 5 years of age, he began following in the footsteps of his father, like the 6 generations of carpenters before him. Rory was truly a master carpenter/everyone's handyman.

It's hard to turn around in Cache Valley and not see something he created or built. He was so good at what he did and took great pride in all his work. As stubborn as he was, Rory would drop anything to help a family member or friend in need, day or night. He didn't know the word no, when it came to anyone asking him for help.

In the summer of '97, he met the love of his life when a cute, new dishwasher started employment with him at the Old Juniper Inn. They were only 15. After 5 years of dating, the high school sweethearts were sealed for eternity in the Logan Temple on May 9, 2002. Rhonda was Rory's rock and his everything. And he made sure that she knew it. A day didn't go by that he didn't tell her how beautiful she was and how much he loved her.

In life Rory knew how to have a good time and make the best of every situation. According to his mom, he was a "social director," he could take a 30-minute job and turn it into 3 hours and be your best friend by the time it was done.

Rory took great pride in being the best father to their 4 amazing children. Rory was happiest when he was with his family and enjoyed taking them snow skiing, boating, and on family vacations. He will forever be their "daddy boy."

Nothing in his life took priority over the safety and happiness of the people he loved most. Through the ups and downs, Rory never lost sight of what was important. Rory loved his Savior. He was always willing to use his Priesthood to bless and help those around him.

He will be missed beyond measure. We're so grateful for the knowledge we have in knowing that we will be able to see him again and get one of his amazing hugs.

Rory was lovingly greeted in death by his sister, Heidi Lyn, his brother, Randall, his father-in-law Ross Hillyard, and his best friend "Slim."

He is survived by his wife - Rhonda Hoth, daughters- Halli (17) Bella (13) and Amelia (9) and "his guy" Dillon Rory (3) Parents- Marlin and Lyn Hoth. Mother-in-law - Renee Hillyard. Siblings - Richard (Jill) Heather Wiser (Aaron) Ryan (Sheri) Rusty (Holly) Regan (Mandy) And many nieces and nephews that he loved very much.

Rhonda would like to thank everyone for the unbelievable amount of love and support that her family has received. She has felt every prayer on their behave and it's those prayers and her loving Heavenly Father and Savior that are carrying them through this.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, August 12, 2023, at the Providence 8th Ward Chapel, 155 N 100 E, Providence, Utah. A viewing will be held prior to the service from 10:30 to 11:30 AM at the church house. An additional viewing will be held Friday, August 11, 2023, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at White Pine Funeral Services, 753 S 100 E, Logan, Utah. The interment will be at the Providence City Cemetery.
