Steve Thurston was a great man who made a difference in my life and the lives of many others as prinicipal of Sky View High School. I was on the Exec Council during my Senior year and his leadership and ethics were an example to me that I will never forget. The best listener I think I have ever known, he always had wise words of counsel which I have used to this day... A great man whose lifelong influence will sorely be missed in this world of chaotic thought and hate. My condolences to his wife and family...

Troy and family. I was saddened at the passing of your father. I knew and briefly worked with your father during my law enforcement years. He was a remarkable man, father, and ensign to others. Please know that his passing simply means a temporary separation and that you and the rest of your family will be reunited. What a remarkable example to others and to me. Mr. Thurston was my counselor from 7th grade at Wellsville through my senior year at Sky View. He was always caring and uplifting, helping me to be the best that I could be. He loved all us kids, no matter who we were. I´ll always have a "special " place in my heart for Mr. Thurston. Condolences to his wife and children.

Steve was our school counselor from 7th grade at Wellsville Jr. High, to 9th grade at South Cache, all the way through 12th at Sky View. What a tremendous influence he was on so many. We later became friends and colleagues, as he asked me to be the Elementary Director, when he became the Superintendent of Cache district. What a wonderful boss and mentor! I later had the opportunity to be the principal of Troy´s kids at Logan High! I sure love and respect Janet and her family. Sorry to miss the service, but I´m in NC at my granddaughters 17th birthday. So glad we had those visits with Steve this winter. Love to all!
