Caroline Schaap Obituary

Caroline L. Schaap, daughter of Jacob and Trinnie Schaap, died peacefully on Saturday, June 20, 2015 at the age of 88 at Appledorn Assisted Living Center.
Caroline worked for many years at Holland State Bank, formerly located on the corner of 8th Street and Central Avenue, and was a life-long member of Central Avenue Christian Reformed Church. Caroline is survived by nephews, Tom and Dirk vanTamelen; and great-nephew, Scott vanTamelen; and she will be missed by good friends, Bill and Norma Bruinsma and by Bill and Rick Smith, who were like family to Chuck and Caroline.
A funeral service will be held at Langeland-Sterenberg Funeral Home, 315 E. 16th Street, Holland on Thursday, June 25, with Rev. James H. Scholten officiating. Friends are invited to share memories of Caroline one hour prior to the service, which will begin at 11 a.m. Memorial contributions may be given to the Holland Rescue Mission. www.langelandsterenberg.com.
