Mark A. Wolters
Zeeland, Michigan - Mark A. Wolters, age 64, of Zeeland, was received into glory by his Lord and Savior in his home on Thursday, July 29, 2021 surrounded by his family.
Mark grew up in South Olive and graduated from Holland Christian High School in 1974. He worked at Herman Miller for 42 years, retiring in July of 2020. He was a longtime member of First CRC in Zeeland where he served as an elder and deacon.
Mark was a kind, humble man. He would always put others before himself. His positive attitude and good listening skills made him loved by all who knew him.
Mark was an avid train enthusiast, a fierce Spartan fan, and had a life-time love of music.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Helene Wolters, and parents-in-laws, Arie and Harriet Spek.
He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Nancy; children, Michael Wolters, Bradley Wolters, Jennifer (Joe) Stevens, Joshua Wolters; 4 grandchildren, Mackenzie, Lexi, Lincoln, and Declan Stevens; sister, Beth (Mark) DeJong; in-laws, Paul and Rachel Spek, Sally and Chad Meyer; aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at Yntema Funeral Home, 251 S. State St. Zeeland with Rev. Bernard Mulder officiating. Burial will be in Zeeland Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, August 2, from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to South Olive Christian Schools.
