Robert DeWeerd

Robert DeWeerd, 86, passed away at his home on May 25, 2016. It was the home he built with his wife, Aleda (DeBoer), following their marriage in 1955 and where they raised four children. Bob, who owned Eighth & Pine Service for 30 years and who retired from Thermotron Industries in 1995, spent many happy hours fishing and caring for his yard and garden. He is preceded in death by his sister, Anne Englesman, and daughter, Nancy Ondra. He is survived by his children Lori (Paul) Flower, Judy (Larry) McCammon, Bill DeWeerd, and son-in-law, Tom Ondra; as well as 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Bob and Aleda were charter members of Fellowship Reformed Church where he showed his love of his Lord by serving in many capacities as his faith was foremost in his life. Visitation will be Friday, May 27 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Fellowship Reformed Church. The memorial service will be Saturday, May 28 at 11 a.m. at Fellowship Reformed Church, 300 North 168th Ave, Holland.
