Willard Henry Willink

Willard Henry Willink age 94, of Zeeland, loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, pastor, and friend, died to this life and entered his heavenly home on February 17, 2015.
Willard was born and raised in Graafschap, where he met his wife, Gertrude, to whom he was married for 71 years. He touched the lives of countless people for over 40 years of ministry in Battle Creek, Cedar Springs, Grant, Howard City, Allegan, Grand Haven, and Grand Rapids, in Michigan, and also in Patterson, NJ. He was dedicated to his Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ, and served Him diligently throughout his life. Willard was preceded in death by his wife Gertrude, his parents Herman and Jennie Willink; sisters Henrietta Becksvoort, Johanna Haverdink, and Lillian Willink; and grandson, Peter Braunius.
He is survived by his children, Wes (Mary) Willink, Marlene (Burt) Braunius, Del (Judy) Willink, Diane (Jerry) Antoon, and Bill (Barb) Willink; grandchildren, Phil (Jolynn) Willink, Jon (Amber) Willink, Stephen (Lisa) Braunius, Nathan (Jen) Willink, Brett (Megan) Willink, Drew (Erin) Willink, Aaron (Jillayne) Antoon, Bethany (Nathan) Kemler, Isaac Antoon, Sarah Willink, Josh (Carrie) Willink, TJ Willink; 18 great-grandchildren; sister, Esther DeKleine.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, February 24, 2015, at Covenant Presbyterian Church (PCA), 1015 E. 32nd Street, with Rev. Kenneth Klett officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family from 4-7 p.m., Monday, February 23, at Langeland-Sterenberg Funeral Home, 315 E. 16th Street, Holland MI 49423, and from 10-10:45 a.m. at the church prior to the service. Interment will be in Graafschap Cemetery.
