Alex Benoit Obituary
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until funeral time Monday at St. Joseph Co-Cathedral. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.
He is survived by daughters, Debbie Benoit Chiasson and husband, Wade, Stephanie Benoit Percle and Angela Benoit; brothers, Wallace Benoit and wife, Ethel, and Rogers Benoit and wife, Janice; sister, Lucy Landry; grandchildren, Allison Percle, Brandon Percle, Brett Chiasson and Charisse Chiasson; and great-grandchildren, Gianna Percle and Amalee Chiasson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alexie J. Benoit and wife, Marie Rodrigue Benoit; brothers, Lawrence Benoit, Junius "Whiteport" Benoit, Wilson Benoit Sr. and Arthur "Toothpick" Benoit; sister, Lillian Ponvelle; and brothers-in-law, Irvin "Black" Landry and Lloyd Ponvelle.
Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
