Calvin Bourgeois Sr. Obituary
A visitation will be held in his honor from 8:30 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Thibodaux. The burial will follow in St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery in Thibodaux.
He is survived by his children, Calvin Bourgeois Jr. and wife, Rosie, Barbara B. Naquin and husband, Gary, and Elaine B. LeRay and husband, Glenn; grandchildren, Daphne LeRay and Glenn LeRay Jr. and wife, Heather; future great-grandson, Hunter Wyatt LeRay; brother, Phillip Bourgeois; and sisters, Doris Besson, Helen Morvant, Pearl Doiron and Margaret Matherne.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Babin Bourgeois; son, Raymond Bourgeois; daughter, Sandra Bourgeois; father, Camille Bourgeois; mother, Estelle Maronge Bourgeois; brothers, David Bourgeois and Wilbert Bourgeois; and sister, Ouida Mae Babin.
He was a parishioner of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during World War II in Korea, and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Raceland and of the American Legion in Raceland.
Thibodaux Funeral Home Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
