Carroll Savoie

Carroll Anthony Savoie, 82, died Tuesday, November 07, 2017, at 3:35 p.m. Born September 17, 1935, he was a native and resident of Houma.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 15, 2017, from 10:30 a.m. until service time at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral. A Memorial Mass will begin at 11:30 a.m.
He is survived by his companion of 43 years, Ludene Coe Miller, and his extended family, Donna Dengate, Mrs. Ladon Miller (Bonnie), Ms. Ludene's grandchildren who he loved very much, Yvette Sutton, Sean Miller, Bridgette Price, Chad Miller, Brad Troxclair, Ricky Troxclair and Adrian Miller.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Abel Anthony Savoie and Stella Roger Savoie; brothers, Irvin "Do-Do" Joseph Savoie and Weldon John Savoie Sr.; sister, Joyce Savoie Talbot, and extended family of Ronnie Miller and Ladon Miller.
Carroll was a veteran of the United States Army. He worked for Houma Distributors selling oilfield supplies. Also, he was the manager for Cooper Pressure Washing Company and security guard for Saia Motor Freight. After retiring, he worked for Damco Testers and Trapp Chevrolet.
He was a lifetime member of Village East Volunteer Fire Department. His favorite hobbies were crabbing, shrimping and eating all kinds of seafood, and he loved traveling. Carroll and Ms. Ludene were very active in square and round Dancing.
