Darlene Richard Obituary
A memorial gathering and service will from 9 a.m. until funeral time Tuesday at LaFond-Ardoin Funeral Home in Opelousas. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Lester May officiating.
She is survived by her husband, Bruce Richard, of Sunset; sons, Robbie Schwab and fiancee, Crystal Ledet, of Larose, and Mike Schwab and his fiancee, Lori Warm, of Osyka, Miss; and grandchildren, Dillon, Caleb, Jacob, Casie, Emily, Dayton and Maizy Schwab.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnny and Rose Richard Rivet.
Darlene and her husband, Bruce, loved to play pool, and Darlene was quite the player. Her walls are adorned with the plaques and awards of her efforts. She had a green thumb and enjoyed growing beautiful ivies for her home. She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her, which included her four-legged friends, "Suzie" and "Ity Bitty."
