Davis Peltier Obituary
Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 15, at Ordoyne Funeral Home and will resume from 8 a.m. until service time on Wednesday, Jan. 16, at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 a.m. at the church, with burial following in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Josephine Ford Peltier; sons, Adley Peltier and Raymond "Red" (Reggie) Peltier; daughter, Jo Ann Leonard; grandchildren, Raven Peltier; brothers, Rodney (Diane) Peltier; sisters-in-law, Marie Samanie and Stella Peltier; and numerous other nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Elvine Adams Peltier; son, Thomas Peltier; son-in-law, Henry Leonard; brother, Paul Peltier; sister, Isabelle Levron; half-brothers, Charles, Norbert and Joseph Peltier; and half-sister, Viola Vedros.
He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a bus driver for over 20 years. He owned Peltier Vegetable Farm and sold his vegetables at the local farmer's markets and in front of the church. He loved working on his farm and driving his tractor. He was a member of the VFW and a 4th degree Knight for the Knights of Columbus.
Ordoyne Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Davis was a great bus driver, an awesome farmer raising corn (which I bought many times), but most of all a giant of a man, and a close personal friend.
