Debra Anderson Obituary

Debra Sue Ciber Pepper Colwart Anderson, born June 8, 1952, in Elyria, Ohio, and resident of Chauvin, has journeyed home to join our Heavenly Father Thursday, Sept. 26, 2013, in Houma.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday and from 3 p.m. until funeral time Tuesday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
She is survived by her husband, Donald "Bud" Anderson; daughters, Karen Pepper Robichaux and husband, John W. Robichaux, and Kristine Pepper Naquin and husband, Shawn Naquin; son, Jonathon Pepper, and wife, Brandi Dupre Pepper; stepdaughter, Shannon Anderson; grandchildren, Lauren and Jourdan Robichaux, Boston, Dallas and Memphis Alvarado, Zoe Naquin, Jaide and Bailey Brisbin and Keaton and Keslyn Pepper; sisters, Carol Parks and Donna LaCoure; and brother, Flay Hoyt.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Theodora Earline Powell Long; and daughter, Kelcie René Pepper.
Debbie was an energetic firecracker of a woman, admired and loved by all who knew her.
She attended First Baptist Church in Houma, was a league bowler on Tuesday mornings and Friday nights and volunteered at the Chauvin Senior Citizen's Center in Chauvin. She loved bowling, fishing, gardening, in-depth conversations with God while manning her lawn mower, spending time with her family and red Corvettes.
Though her spark has dimmed, the glowing ember of her life will continue to warm our hearts as she is thought of and missed.
Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Lit'l Deb, I know you are now home with the dear Lord in Heaven. My brother, Donald (Buddy), will miss you dearly. You gave him your love, kindness, and the gift of laughter. You were his world and he your's. Seeing your family this past weekend gave me a glimpse into their world with you and how you affected the lives of others. As a sister-in-law, you will be surely missed. My prayers are that God will wrap His loving arms around Bud, all of your family, friends and anyone who didn't know you. That the Lord's guidance and peace blesses your family. I know I'll see you again when I get to Heaven. With all my love, (Bud's sister) - Debra Lee Anderson

We recently connected after not being in touch for over 11 yrs. We lived on the same street and was freinds for many years. Our children played and grew up together. Debbie was liked by everyone that met her and didn't have an enemy. She will be missed by everyone she touched. She is at home now with her beloved Kelcie Rene and both are with their Heavenly Father. R.I.P. my friend, you will be missed. Until we meet again.
