Delores Jackson Obituary
Houma - Delores "Dee" Jackson, 86, a native of Terrebonne Parish and a resident of Houma, LA, passed away peacefully at 11"30 a.m. on Sunday, May 2, 2021.
A public viewing will be conducted from 8:00 a.m. until funeral time at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at Morning Star Baptist Church, 100 Livas Lane, Thibodaux, LA, 70301. Burial will follow in the Blue Lily Cemetery.
She is survived by her sons, Herbert Lee Jackson (Betty) and Michael Jackson; daughters, Mary Ann Woods, Angela Rixner (Danny) and Bernadine Dumas (Kirk); fourteen grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her sons, Alfred, Sr., Burnell and Claudell Jackson; great grandchildren, Desire James and Deaqin Jackson; parents, Jeffrey and Palestine Harris Jackson; brothers, Clarence and Lawrence "Joe" Jackson; paternal grandmother, Sophie Jackson; maternal grandparents, Ben, Sr. and Lizzie Harris; son-in-law, Clifton Woods, Sr.
Arrangements entrusted to Jones Funeral Home of Houma.

To the Jackson Family & All whom are Connected. I am sending my Deepest Condolences, Sympathy & Prayers. I first Met Ms. Dee in the early 2000 when My Sis, Valerie Berryhill known to Ms. Dee as Val was dating her Son Claudell AKA Rabbit until his untimely Death whom was the most nicest Brother n law any Sister would have love to have in a family. I was Honored to speak for Rabbit's Homegoing service when ask by the fly. Rabbit was truly the Brother I never had coming from a family of five girls. Ms. Dee was also very nice from the time I met her through my sister. We became one Big Happy family over the years until I moved to Jax, Florida. My Sis Val would be on the Ridge every Friday keeping Ms. Dee Company until Rabbit gets off from work. I knew Ms. Dee was an Angel when she accepted My Sis in the family treating Val the same as her Biological Chilldren. Val would never give warning to Ms. Dee upon her visit on the Ridge. Val would leave from Houma, sometimes Daily, just to go Chat with Ms. Dee.. Val was just pop up like popcorn. However, Ms. Dee never mind because she adore Val's Company. Ms. Dee was just a Beautiful Soul whom simply just enjoyed Company . I often would tell Mss. Dee, I will not do like Val & just popup, however I would let you know of my visit which she just SMILED! Ms. Dee you will be Miss & Thank you for accepting Val into your family. Rest in Paradise Ms. Dee❤
