A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 p.m. on Tuesday, June 27, Sacred Heart of Jesus Church - Broussard for Earl Richard Duhon, 81, who passed away on June 24, 2017.

Reverend Bill Ruskoski will be the Celebrant of the Mass.

Burial will take place in Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery, Broussard.

Earl was a graduate of Holy Cross High School in New Orleans and the University of Southwestern Louisiana, where he received a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering in 1968. He worked for various oil companies and in his last years as a self-employed drilling consultant.

Earl was a faithful parishioner of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church and attending Mass daily.

Earl, a resident of Lafayette, was the son of the late Sidney Duhon and the former Audrey Broussard.

He is survived by his wife, Geraline Ste Marie Duhon; daughters, Cynthia Landers and husband, Sam and Mary Gretchen Guilliot and Husband, Jerry; grandchildren, Kyle Denning and wife, Lexy, Bryce Denning, Meghan Allen and husband, David, Catherine Guidry and husband, John; Benjamin Landers and wife, Maria, Paul Guilliot and Lauren Guilliot; great-grandchildren, Thomas Allen and Lucy Guidry; sister, Brenda Goulas and husband, Ronnie; and brother, Wayne Duhon and wife, Judy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Dayanne Denning; son-in-law, David Denning; and brother, Norman Duhon.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home in Broussard on Tuesday, June 27, from 9 a.m. until time of service. A Rosary will be recited at 11 a.m. in the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Wayne Duhon, Kyle Denning, Bryce Denning, Paul Guilliot, Sam Landers and Jerry Guilliot. Honorary Pallbearers will be Chester Williams, Benjamin Landers, David Allen and John Guidry.

The family would like to thank Dr. William Elliott, Dr. Norris Guidry and the cardiac staff of Our Lady of Lourdes.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Broussard.
