Earl Gros Obituary

Earl Roy Gros, 72, a native and resident of Schriever, passed away Monday, July 15, 2013.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until funeral time Thursday at St. Bridget Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church.
He is survived by his mother, Flora Trosclair Gros; son, Earl Roy Gros II; sister, Gail Thibodaux and husband, Rudy; and grandchildren, Davin, Samantha and Zella Gros.
He was preceded in death by his wife, June Overton Gros; and father, Urley Gros.
Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Earl was my Step-Uncle, back in the Mid 70's ... He was, as all have said here, a Gentle Giant..... his shear size intimedated me as a teen, but it took no time at all, for him to squelch those feelings.... What a Blessing to have known him personally.... And Yes, the last time i saw him was in the Clubhouse at the Brusly Golf course, several years ago.... Friendly,Kind and Gracious as ever.... God Bless His Family, and Welcome Him Into Heaven !!!!

I have many fond memories of Earl beginning with elementary school in Bayou Black and all through high school at Terrebonne. Everett and I did see Earl at our 50th reunion. Sincere sympathy to the family.
