Earline, I am praying for you in your hour of sorrow. Although, I never knew George it sounds like he was an accomplished musician and an avid sports fan. Words cannot heal your heart in this dark hour, but may you know that God knows your sorrow and wants you to lean on Him for peace and comfort. I love you!

George was a long-time member of our Bayou Saxophone Ensemble. He was our regular tenor sax player, and a soloist in many of our selections. He was also our music trivia expert. I don't think there's a musician he didn't know something about. He will certainly be missed. Our love and prayers to his family and friends.

Oh Mr. George...I'm so sorry I can't make it back to Louisiana for the funeral...I love living in Oklahoma, but 15 hours is too far from ya'll. You were awesome, through all those years of HTCB Stage and Concert Band. You were crazy, from Krypton, and stood up while playing because your butt hurt (which I wouldn't go around telling people), but you were such a good friend. Because of you and the other people in the Stage band and Concert band, I stayed in band through high school, and went on to get my music ed. degree. Even though I'm not a band director right now, I am teaching private lessons and am in the community band up here. They just don't have as many crazy old men in this one as the HTCB group does. You were a great friend and a big influence on my life. I'll miss you so much, but will never forget you. Merry meet, and merry part, and merry meet again. Blessed Be.
