Georgia Blanchard Obituary
Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Friday at Chauvin Funeral Home in Houma and from 9 a.m. until funeral time Saturday at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial in Terrebonne Memorial Park Cemetery.
She is survived by her son, William Troy Blanchard and wife, Teresa Blanchard, of Stafford, Virginia; daughter, Gwendolyn Ann Blanchard, of Houma; sisters, Arabella Thomala, of Castor, Wilma LeBoeuf, of Gray, and Geraldine Muller, of Independence; grandchildren, Jason Hughes and wife, Jessica, Michael Hughes and wife, Glenda, and Chase Blanchard; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her spouse, Elmer Joseph Blanchard; parents, Lawrence and Ollie Marcell Pitre; grandson, Stacy Gentry; brother, Earl Muller; and sisters, Rita Vitrano and Daisy LeBoeuf.
Georgia was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, and past member of the Terrebonne Fine Arts Guild. She enjoyed painting, sewing, crocheting, singing, and playing music.
