Grace Benoit Obituary

Grace Maronge Benoit, 91, a native and life-long resident of Thibodaux, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2015 at her granddaughter's home in Cypress, Texas.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Saturday, Oct. 31 at St. Genevieve Catholic Church in Thibodaux. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial in St. Joseph's Cemetery.

She was survived by her granddaughters, Elizabeth L. (David) Naquin, Houma; Tiffany L. (Russell) Parkin, Cypress, Texas; and Samantha L. (Shawn) Whitt, Lockport; sister, Vivian Maronge Landry; great-granddaughters, Alexandra, Cassandra, Miranda, Victoria and Virginia Parkin, and Amber Whitt.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul C. Benoit; daughter, Paula Benoit Lassere; son-in-law, Eugene P. Lassere; great-granddaughter, Anna Grace Whitt; parents, Phillip Maronge Sr. and Elizabeth Toups Maronge; sister, Laura Mae Maronge Ayo; brothers, Phillip Jr. and William "Bill" Maronge.

She was best remembered for her work in Roth's Drug Store, D&M Drug Store, K&B and Rite Aid for a combined 75 years of her life.

Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements
