James Tabor Obituary
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Thursday, May 7, at St. Bernadette Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church.
He is survived by his wife, Angela Babin Tabor; sons, Glenn and Gavin Tabor; parents, James E. Tabor Jr. and Janet Lapeyrouse Tabor; sisters, Lisa K. Tabor, Laura T. Martin and husband, Jonathan, and Nancy T. Warren and companion, Thomas Robichaux; sister-in-law, Carrie Pertuit; brothers-in-law, Joey Babin and Wade Pertuit; four nieces; and three nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Leslie Tabor; paternal grandparents, James E. Tabor Sr. and Irene B. Tabor; and maternal grandparents, Lionel F. and Thelma R. Lapeyrouse.
James was employed by Barriere Construction. Previously, he had been a boat captain for 19 years. He loved being on the water. He was an amazing husband, father, son, brother and friend. His passions were fishing, fast cars and get-aways. He will be forever missed.
The family would like to thank his nurse, Darlene, along with the medical team and everyone who cared for Jamie. Thanks also goes to Journey Hospice for their compassionate care.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Jamie Tabor fund at Capital One for his family.
Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

John & myself were saddened by the news of Jamie's illness when he called John. Will continue to send prayers to Jamie's family. My memory of Jaimie is riding home from a hitch offshore. John called and said we'll be giving a friend a ride home. Needless to say, it's a small world. I grew up with the Tabor family. Jamie & I were so amazed that I knew his family. He was a very jolly man. RIP Jamie.

John & I were saddened by the news when Jamie call to tell us of his illness. We have included Jamie & his family in our prayers. What really comes to mind to me is the ride from the boat. Jamie had so many questions. We were both fascinated how my family & his grew up together. And than my husband & Jamie ended up working together. Deepest sympathy to Jamie's family. Continued prayers.

I was so sorry when Butch told me of your loss. I only remember the kids when they were pretty small but it seems Jamie grew up to be a very good man. I'm sure he is at peace now and not fighting any battles.
