Mr. Harold was a man of great faith. A gentleman, mentor and a positive example for men to follow. A family man, a coach and an enthusiastic figure to children, especially while coaching the sport of baseball. He had passion and zeal for the game, and he promoted it to the best of his ability to the youth of Houma. My friend, you will be sadly missed, but never forgotten. God Bless you, Mr. Harold, as well as your family and the community.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. What a great person. Met Harold for first time years ago hunting in south texas with Podna. I found out about gumbo through Harold. What a pot he could make! He wasn't much on hunting and I wasn't much on gumbo. Before the week was over I was hooked on gumbo and Harold was a hunter!!! (even though he said once was enough!) . Harold was one of those people you meet that don't come along often enough. A fine gentleman! I feel blessed to have known him. I know he is in a better place and he will have a pot of gumbo waiting on all of us when we get there.

I am so sorry to hear of Harold's passing. He was my Babe Ruth baseball coach, and I later worked for him at Trapp Chevrolet in the summers off from college. He was a great, fun loving person and treated everyone with respect. When my son Brian was around 8 years old he collected baseball cards. Harold sent one of his signed baseball cards from when he played for the Minnesota Twins to Brian and he still has it to this day. God bless Harold and his family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Harold was one of the nicest men I've ever met, always had a smile and kind word. I hope the family can take comfort in knowing that when he closed his eyes here, he opened them to see his Lord, saying WELL DONE thy good and faithful servant.
