Joseph Marts Obituary
Visitation with his family will be held from 8 a.m. until funeral time Monday, May 29, 2017 at the New Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 13841 E. Main St. in Larose. A "Celebration of Life" will begin at 11 a.m.
He is survived by his mother, Marilyn Marts; daughters, Alicia, Jessica, Jennifer, Chrishonna, Teneya and Courtney and son, Dwaynete'; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Clarence, Sr. and Agnes W. Marts; aunts, Octavia and Deborah Marts; cousin, Troy Jackson; and good friend, Jaque Reid.
Falgout Funeral Home of Raceland is in charge of arrangements.

My heart was so broken when I got the call Friday. You have been part of my life since we were 15 years old. I will miss you for the rest of my life. I can't imagine not hearing your laugh ever again. I love you Joey. Watch over us from heaven.

As a mother, also of only one child, I can't even begin to imagine what you're going through and/or the emotions you're feeling right now. But I do know that there are prayer warriors praying for you, & I also know the Holy Spirit is interceding on your & your family's behalf. Let him be your helper, comforter & guide.
