Louis Jones Obituary

Louis "Joe" Jones Sr., 76, a native of Terrebonne Parish and a resident of Houma, died Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at Gertrude Geddes Willis Funeral Home. Visitation will also be from 10 a.m. until funeral time Saturday at St. Lucy Catholic Church. Mass will be at noon Saturday at the church, with burial in Southdown Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria Miles Jones of Houma; one son, Louis Jones III (Sandra) of Covington; two daughters, Cynthia Jones of Houma, and Carolyn Manlay (Bobby) of Forney, Texas; two sisters, Hester Mae Scott of Marrero, and Louise Mae Williams of Brooklyn, N.Y.; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchhild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Olivia Castle Jones; three brothers, Dan, Harrison and Henry Jones Sr.; and his grandparents, Dave and Louis Robertson Castle.
He was a parishioner of St. Lucy Catholic Church.
Gertrude Geddes Willis Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
