Paul Savoie Obituary
Paul Anthony Savoie, 86, a native and resident of Houma, died at 9:15 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2012.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Chauvin Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at Annunziata Catholic Church. Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial in Terrebonne Memorial Park Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Sylvia Falgout Savoie of Houma; sons, Wyatt Savoie and wife, Roslyn, of Erath, Eric Savoie and wife, Sally, of Montegut, James Savoie of Houma, Matthew "Matt" Savoie and wife, Krista, of Houma; daughters, Marie Brunet and husband, Ivy, of Houma, Lorrie Scranton and husband, Joseph "Joe", of Missouri City, Texas, Kimberly "Kim" Hebert and husband, Brad, of Houma; grandchildren, Ashley Brunet, Elizabeth Mitchell, Jude Savoie, Eric Savoie Jr., Paul Scranton, Brenton Hebert, Emily Scranton, Kayla Hebert and Kameron Savoie; great-grandchildren, Tyler Breaux, Alaya Chauvin and Celeste Savoie; and sister, Valerie Himel of Houma.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul James Savoie and Antoinette Use' Savoie; brothers, Benjamin Savoie and Carrol Savoie; and sisters, Bessie Brunet, Jeanette Savoie and Elsie Savoie.
He was a meat cutter for A & P. He was a very active parishioner of Annunziata Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed woodworking.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Annunziata Maintenance Fund.
Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

To the family of mr. Paul I pray for nothing but peace for your family truly God has called home an angel. I remember building the classroooms at Annunziata with Mr. Paul and Mr. Frank we have a lot of memories to hold on to.

May the Lord comfort the family at this time of loss and fill your lives with all the wonderful memories of your Dad. I have many of fond memories of him and his family growing up. My dad worked with him for many years. We had many times together with family cookouts.

My dad, Paul Falgout, was Assistant Manager at A&P under Ed LeBoeuf and worked for many years with Mr. Savoie. I know my dad thought highly of Mr. Savoie. You are in my thoughts at this sad time.
