Roy Luke Obituary
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Friday at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Golden Meadow. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the church, with burial in Cheramie Cemetery in Galliano.
He is survived by his wife, Audrey Doucet Luke; sons, Roy Jr. and Rod Luke; daughters, Melinda Scott, Debra Luke, Wanda Blanchard, Joan Guidry, Della Terrebonne and Kim Gaines; stepchildren, James Jr., Freddie and Reggie Ledet; brother, Wayne LeCompte; sisters, Martha Poiencot and Delia Thibodaux; 17 grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 11 step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his previous wife, Alma Billiot Luke; mother, Gertrude Authement Fonseca; birth mother, Betsy Boudreaux LeCompte; father, Frank Tivet; birth father, Walter Luke; stepfather, Wilbert LeCompte; stepson, Bryan Ledet; step-grandson, Brody Ledet; brother, Druis Luke Sr.; twin brother, Loyd Luke; and sisters, Betsy Levron, Betty Naquin and Velita Reece.
He was a member of the Green Head Club and a musician. He loved fishing, hunting and his beloved dog, Sparky.
Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Cut Off is in charge of arrangements.

Ms. Audrey & family so very sorry for your loss. Sending prayers to all may God guide & comfort ya'll at this terrible time. What a wonderful man Mr. Roy was always happy. Heaven has gotten a new angel to rejoice with. Will be out of town won't be able to make the funeral. God Bless.
