Sandra Aucoin Obituary

Sandra Dickson Aucoin, 69, a native of Baton Rouge and resident of Pierre Part, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2014, peacefully in her sleep surrounded by her loving family.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. until funeral time Friday at Thibodaux Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Pastor Derald Weber officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Thibodaux. Pallbearers will be Glenn Usie, Brett Barrilleaux, Joshua Usie, Yates Usie, Calvin Blanco Sr., and Brad Viator. Honorary pallbearers will be Breidyn Barrilleaux, Benson Templet, and Shawn Aucoin.
She is survived by her daughter, Delania Usie and husband, Glenn; grandchildren, Brandon and Brett Barrilleaux; and great-grandson, Breidyn Barrilleaux.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Shelby Aucoin; son, Shane Floyd; parents, James and Birdie Deshotel Dickson; sisters, Carolyn Albarado and Kathy Dickson; and nieces, Pamella Louviere and Maria Turner.
She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt who will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was a nurse for 20 years who touched many lives.
Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
