Sherry Trosclair Herring Obituary
A visitation will be held in her honor on Tuesday, May 29, at St. Genevieve Catholic Church in Thibodaux, from 10 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 2 p.m. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery in Thibodaux.
She is survived by her husband, Devonne Herring; daughter, Marie Annette Bollinger and husband, Robbie; stepson, Michael Aaron Herring and wife, Jane; daughter-in-law, Monica Trosclair; grandchildren, Joshua Trosclair and wife, Kelly, David Trosclair, Mary Kathryne Bollinger, Elyse Bollinger and Rebecka Bollinger; step-grandson, Edmond Herring; great-granddaughter, Julianne Trosclair; and fur-baby, Hoppy.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Larry Trosclair; son, Scott "Hoppy" Trosclair; parents, Nollie Sr. and Alcida Arcement; brother, Nollie Arcement Jr.; and sisters, Ayres Champagne and Lois LeCompte.
Sherry Ann was a devoted educator for 40-plus years at St. Genevieve Catholic School, East Thibodaux Junior High, Thibodaux High, and substituted at E.D. White Catholic High School. Not only was she an amazing teacher, but also a life-changing mentor to all who knew her.
She enjoyed sunset cruises with her tiny Corona beer on Lake Verret. She also loved spoiling her grandchildren and shopping. Throughout her life, Sherry Ann touched many lives with her selfless, kind and giving heart. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers and plants, donations can be sent to St. Genevieve Catholic School.
Landry's Funeral Home Inc. is in charge of arrangements.

Sherry was one of the best teachers to ever step into a math classroom. She loved her students, treated them with respect and celebrated with them when they achieved success. Any student lucky enough to be under her tutelage was fortunate indeed.
