For the twenty years I was a fireman Tom Wightman was the finest Chief that I knew. He was an asset to the Fire Dept, the Citizens of NO and especially the men who were under him.

Unfortunately almost all the men who knew him as I did predeceased him. Had he died earlier there would be hundreds of Firemen expressing their sympathy.

When I started on the NOFD in 1969 in the 7th district, Chief Wightman was my chief. It was a pleasure to work with him. He set a great example for all who knew him. God bless "The Chief" and his family.
