Adrian D. Sebastian

ADRIAN D. SEBASTIAN, age 77, of Houston, Tx., formerly of Dallas and Amarillo, passed away on Sunday, July 25, 2004. Adrian was born on February 21, 1927 in Thrall, Tx.; attended Miles Elementary, and graduated Class Valedictorian from Thrall High School in 1943. A talented athlete and self-taught golfer, as well as a musician, Adrian played on various sports teams and was in the Longhorn Marching Band at the University of Texas, where he received his B.B.A. in 1950. While working his way through school at the University Co-op in Austin, Adrian met his future wife Becky Pils. They were married on January 1, 1948, eventually raising 3 sons in a union which would last 56 years, until the time of their deaths in 2004. . Adrian's college studies were interrupted from 1945 to 1947 while serving in the United States Maritime Service. He was admitted to the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy as a C.P.A. on August 1, 1953. An avid outdoorsman, Adrian joined the private business sector with Southwestern Public Service Co. in 1955, where he eventually served as Vice President, Secretary and Comptroller until 1979. He also held executive positions with NAPA Auto Parts of Dallas and Primary Fuels, Inc. of Houston, until opening his private practice in 1989. Adrian retired from private practice in 2001. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Becky; his parents Henry J. and Carrie Lee Hill Sebastian; and his siblings Henry and Nathan P. and Daisy Ruth Anders. Adrian is survived by three sons: Steve Sebastian, Brian Sebastian and Scott Sebastian and wife Devon; grandchildren Michelle, Lindsey, Michael, Catie and Laurel; his brother-in-law Joe Pils and wife Carolyn; sister-in-law Martha Ott Pils and several nieces, nephews and cousins. The family gratefully acknowledges the expert care of Adrian's physician, Dr. Wilner P. Jeudy of Houston, Tx.
