Alf Andersson Obituary
Stefan was born in Västerås, Sweden. He attended Uppsala University, where he majored in pharmacology, and then went on to earn a doctors degree. He relocated to Dallas, Texas, to pursue a lifelong career in medical research. Most of his time was spent at UT Southwestern Medical Center, Dallas, with a short stint at Merck & Co., NJ, in the nineties. During his final years he worked at University of Houston, at the Center for Nuclear Receptors & Cell Signaling. Stefan will be remembered for an amazing sense of humor, honesty, a brilliant mind, and above all love and generosity. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends around the world.
A Memorial Service in celebration of his life will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 29, 2013 at The Wine Therapist, 1810 Skillman St. Dallas, TX. Condolences may be offered at www.millerfuneral.com

Sending my deepest sympathies to Dr. Andersson´s family. It´s so sad that the meaningful life of a man who made such a difference ended with tragedy. His many achievements and his gentle kindness will live on through those whose lives he enriched. May this shining star in the scientific community and genuinely good person rest in peace.

If memory serves me well, while living in Dallas you frequented Henk's European Deli & Black Forest Bakery - we both had an appreciation for gute bier on a Friday or Saturday night. You once gave me a tip on how to improve my job performance which I still apply to this very day. Sincerely, E.C.
