Alva Brewer

ALVA BREWER, 86, of East Bernard, TX passed away Friday, January 16, 2009 at his residence. A veteran who served in the United States Air Force Alva retired from Tennessee Gas Pipeline in 1986 after 39 years of service. He is survived by his wife, Rosemary of East Bernard, daughters, Lynn Vacek of Sugar Land, Susan Brewer of Bellville, two grandchildren and two great grandchildren, brother, George Brewer of Dallas, and sisters, Allie Gene Neely of Yazoo, Mississippi and Thryza Gibbs of Huber Heights, Ohio. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 19, 2009 from East Bernard United Methodist Church, 421 Pietzsch Street with Rev. Michael Holcomb, officiating. Burial will follow at East Bernard United Methodist Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 18, 2009 at the church.
