Later in life, Anne and Hank moved to Gulf Shores, Alabama to enjoy their many golf courses. They also lovingly built a home at Casa de Campo in the Dominican Republic, where they hosted their family and friends over the years.

In addition, Anne is survived by three grandchildren: Eloise Priest Thome (Eric David Thome) of Charleston, SC; William Taylor Woods (Jennifer Allison Lindsey North) of Washington, D.C;, and Robert Durham Woods (Nicole Mortimer Woods) of Houston, TX. She has 6 great grandchildren: Anna Allston Thome, Landon Glover Southward, and Virginia Grace Thome of Charleston, SC; Cora Harper North Woods of Washington D.C.; and Connor James Woods and Sophie Mackenzie Woods of Houston, TX.
After their children were grown, Anne and Hank combined their love of travel with their passion for golf and saw the world. Travel was interspersed with family gatherings and time spent with friends. Anne moved to The Buckingham Senior Living in Houston, TX in 2007, and enjoyed a large circle of friends and a wide range of activities.
Anne lived a full and joyful life of 103 years, surrounded by family and friends. From the Craft Farms golf course in Alabama to The Teeth of the Dog golf course in the Dominican Republic, she was affectionately known to many as Queen Anne. She will be remembered for her generosity, devotion to her family, her legendary golf swing, and her prowess as a fierce card shark.
