To all, I will miss my Uncle Tony very much so. Or as we used to joke later in life between us.
" My Favorite Uncle " and he would reply in 2 seconds " I am your only Uncle and don't you forget it "
When we were all very young back in the 1960's we used to trade Suffern, NY basements between my Father and my Uncle Tony for the watching the only Football game that mattered in the entire whole world Army VS. Navy . For those in attendance the Super Bowl back then was some stupid game no one cared about.
Naturally I liked Aunt Claire's food better than my Moms and also my Uncle Tony probably had the first finished basement which in todays term would be a Man Cave, for someone at my age this was better than going to Palisades Park . Andrea , Julianne and Christine would naturally be upstairs on game day debating which Beatle was the cutest or eyeing the latest teased 60's hairstyle in TEEN Magazine.
Meanwhile I was in the basement being thrilled with Aunt Claire's elaborate snacks and my Uncle and Dad debating how many points Army would win by and of course they always needed a drink to be topped off. Young Tony and I were always too eager to run over to that fancy basement bar to over-pour the liquor into their drinks, for some reason my Uncle and Dad never complained either.
These memories came flooding back around this Thanksgiving this year when I heard my only Uncle was in and out of Hospital with pneumonia and was sent home to pass away peacefully and Army /Navy games was played shortly after Tony went home.
Since Army finally won this year after 14 long years, I truly think my Uncle said to himself in early December.
" Okay Army finally won, now its my time pass onto the other side "

My Uncle Tony opened the door to a significant life-changing and rewarding gift: my profession. He introduced me to his contacts at Chemical Bank Real Estate Group in 1981. They hired me and put me in their credit training program. The rest is history. I hope I made him proud. I am forever grateful. He was my father's brother and best friend. No family celebration was complete without Tony holding court. The first funny man I knew and the life of every party. He was loved beyond measure now and always. He was one of a kind.

Tony was always Bigger than Life . . . a man who loved and lived life with all of his being! To me, he was a great Mentor who always had just the right words to keep me going no matter how tough the path seemed to be! Tony was truly, truly an amazing, giving and kind man who I will always remember with love for the Great Man he was! With love, Sarah

Tony will be missed at Lakeside. I saw him at the Fitness Center about a year ago, and several times since then at lunch with Claire while I was with my Dad. My Dad and Tony were great buds.
Claire, Karen and I are sorry for your loss.

My sincere condolences to the family.
He was an extraordinary person. There
are no words that can ease the pain of
losing someone so beloved. May you find
comfort and peace in knowing that your
loved one is in God's memory because
those who pass on "are precious in His
eyes." Psalms 116:15.
