On the day God took you to heaven it was a sad day for us. I am sure you are dancing up a storm up in heaven with all the angels. You were a very big part of our lives in teaching us how to follow in what God had planned for us in our lives. You are in hearts always! You have touched many lives! We will see again!

Fr. Rodriguez ,you baptized me in 1965 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. You found a way to pay my hospital bill when I was born, no one ever knew how. My family and I will be forever grateful for all you did for us when they arrived from Cuba to Baton Rouge. Rest in Peace. You were a great man

To my Dear Friend Armando, I have many, many, fond memories of you not only as my Pastor and Spiritual Advisor but as my friend. I loved going to the Opera, Movies and Dinner with you and friends those memories are amongst the most cherished of my youth. You helped me to understand what it meant to be a true christian and also to understand that we are all just human beings working towards pleasing our heavenly Father by being the best persons we can be. I have yet to find another Priest that has fed my spirit like you and Deacon Smelko did. Have fun in Heaven and show them those Holy Spirit inspired Moves! Love,

Dearest God ,
You have in your kingdom , your devoted servant and son ,Father Armando Rodriguez. I know You have already said to him"Well done , my son "as YOU embraced him on his arrival to Heaven . He touched so many lives in his absolute love for YOU and YOUR SON , JESUS. He brought me and my family closer to YOU as he lived a life of true and hearfelt Christianity . He married me and my husband Tom . He baptized our children ,Milan(19 years ago) and J.Vincent (over 25 years ago. ). Father Rodriguez prepared my father Joe Valdez as he began to lose his battle with cancer , to meet the Lord as he did many of our family members. I can only tell YOU , that I will miss his amazing smile, his dancing to YOU in the church as her gave YOU honor and praise , his love of conversation with a nice meal and friends and family . He remembered everything and everyone and each of us felt special and loved because of Father Rodriguez' gift and annointing . I can't believe I'll never see him here again or hear his laughter or see his eyebrows raise as he listened to our family updates . He is and will always be a special and unforgettable person in my life . YOU made a masterpiece God , when YOU sent us the gift of Father Armando Rodriguez . Thank YOU GOD for allowing us to meet him and for him to change me forever . I will always hold him in my heart forever . I can only pray to see him again , when YOU come for me .
In YOUR glory and in YOUR name , I pray and believe .

Father Rodriguez you will be missed so dearly . Thank you for marrying me and my husband Frank at Resurrection Church 42 years. May you rest in peace God Bless You in Heaven! Your memories will never be forgotten with all your love and support you gave to our community and parish!

We pray, God, for the soul of Father Armando Rodriguez. He was our spiritual guide and personal friend in our exile of 20 years in Houston. As an architect I was privileged to design and build the Shrine of Our Lady of St. John of the Lakes, and help him build this outstanding community of faithful and loyal people dedicated to the transformation of this parish to become a model for the entire Houston community. He married three of our daughters an baptized our grandchildren. He gave us spiritual counsel and built our solid faith in God and the Virgin Mary. We have lost a pastor and a friend. Our entire family pray that you are now in a privileged place in Heaven. And we place our love and devotion on your body and your soul now that you are in thea presence of God.

Jose Francisco and Maria Lourdes Teran and our entire family.
