I met, and promptly fell in love with, Armani when i was assigned to
her cabin two summers ago as a volunteer at Camp Star Trails, MD
Anderson's week-long camp for children with cancer and their siblings.
I can still see that beautiful smile that lit up her face and the
faces of everyone who saw her, and I can feel those wiry arms giving me a great big hug around my neck when she said goodbye to me at the end of the day. And then last year, even though i wasn't assigned to her cabin, I was able to say hello to her again
- - and got another one of those great smiles and warm hugs!
As a cancer survivor myself, I learned so much from watching Armani - - to live each minute of each day joyfully and with abandon. To embrace life, and friends, and adventures without hesitation. To do anything you want and anything you can, without letting cancer stop
you at all.
What a beautiful, beautiful child she was. I was heartbroken today
when i saw the notice in the paper that she had passed away. But surely she IS an angel, smiling at everyone in heaven just as she
smiled at all of us here.
Please know my thoughts and prayers are with all her family and
friends. I am so grateful that i got a chance to know your beautiful
girl.

Cousins as we go through this grief and sorry. Know that God is able to heal all pain, sorry and grief.
Thank you for sharing Armani with us and we thank God for allowing us to have her in our family. She reminded us of an angel sent from heaven who made a diffence in our lives. We will never forget her.
I know she was greeted with all of our love ones that left before her with hugs and kisses.

There are no words to express how much I am going to miss you. I thank you for the many years of laughs, the nice things you would say and more importantly, thank you for the many hugs that you gave me. I will forever cherish the blue fingernail polish you gave me because as you said "You wanted to give it to someone special." THANK YOU ! You were really a shining star too many lives in your short time here on earth.
Tomeka, you have shown me personally the stength a mother must have for her child. I pray that God will wrap his arms around you and embrace you during these difficult times. Know that Earth has no sorrow Heaven can not heal.
