Arthur Larocque Obituary

ARTHUR R. LAROCQUE age 71, died Friday morning, the 24th of March 2006, and was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy. He is survived by his two sisters, and loving wife, 3 children, and 8 grandchildren. He worked for Shell Oil, Gulf Oil, Coastal Corp. and NuCoastal; earning Vice-presidencies of multiple divisions as he rapidly ascended through the corporate ranks. He received multiple accolades and awards and was once presented the lauded Diligent Duck award. Art was a passionate American and a family-man; and was admired and adored by his children and worshiped by his grandchildren: Emma, Audrey, Becca, Bradley, and Kara. He was a man of enormous integrity, dignity and limitless love. His guidance, patience, example, wit and wisdom are already greatly missed by those who loved him so. "Go with God, Pappah." The memorial service will be conducted at eleven o'clock in the morning, Thursday, the 30th of March, in the Sanctuary of the First Presbyterian Church, 5300 Main Street in Houston, with Rev. Asa Hunt officiating. In lieu of usual remembrances, the family suggests donations in memory of Mr. Larocque be directed to the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center (in support of Lung Cancer Research), P.O. Box 4486, Houston, TX, 77210-4486.
