Ashley Harvey Obituary

Paula Smith
1953-2016
Paula Jan Smith passed away on November 11, 2016 from numerous illnesses she battled over the last 5 years. She was born on September 18, 1953 in Pasadena, Texas, where she lived her entire life. Paula graduated from Pasadena High School in 1972.
Paula is preceded in death by her parents, Sam D. and Edith Ellis, her brother Sam D. Ellis II, her sister Sandy Norris and her husband Barry, a nephew Sam D. Ellis III, father-in-law Joe F. Smith, and brother-in-law Terrence James Smith.
She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Michael Richard Smith, the entire Smith and Wells family, nieces Natalie and Sherry, and lifelong friend Beverly Despain.
Paula was the most loving and caring person anyone could meet. She was instantly liked by every person she came to know. Paula was a very well dressed person for any and all occasions, no matter what it was.
She loved the heavens and earth, especially the Blue Ridge Mountains where her mom and dad were raised. Paula knew about all the planets and the stars. She loved jewelry, rocks, stones, and minerals. During her lifetime she wrote poetry, was an avid reader and could draw and sketch. Paula also loved the arts, paintings, animals, and was a great lover of music. She will be tremendously missed by everyone that knew her because of her kind and generous hearts.
There will be a memorial service for Paula on Thursday, December 1, 2016 at 6:00 pm located at Pasadena Funeral Chapel, 2203 Pasadena Blvd, Pasadena, Texas 77502.
