Barbara Baize Obituary

BARBARA STARR JOHNSON BAIZE, age 76, was called to our Lord on Wednesday, September 9, 2009. Barbara was born on October 21, 1932, in Dallas, TX, to Milton and LaVerne Johnson. Barbara graduated from St. Agnes Academy in Houston and later from Del Mar College in Corpus Christi, working as an OB RN at Spahn Hospital. Barbara was honored to be a Lady Commander in the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem. She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Gregory Baize, who she has now joined in Heaven. Barbara is survived by her devoted and loving husband, Thomas H. Baize; children, Robbie of San Francisco, CA, Mark and wife Debbie of Blanco, TX, Jeffrey of Newport Beach, CA, Karen Starr Germany and husband Paul of Richmond, TX; grandchildren, Austin, Lauren, and Keith; siblings, Gloria Philips, Jeanne Marler, Thomas Johnson of Houston, and Patricia Besch of Richmond, TX; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 AM, on Tuesday, September 15, 2009, at St. Laurence Catholic Church, 3100 Sweetwater Blvd., Sugar Land. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Barbara's favorite charity, The Covenant House-Texas, at www.covenanthousetx.org.
