Barbara Ann Hilty Riley, born March 9, 1951, completed her six-year battle on September 14th, 2022. She was preceded on her final journey by her son Cullen, along with her parents, oldest sister and youngest brother.
She leaves behind her husband, helpmate and soulmate Wayne Riley; her son Brent Riley, his wife Kacey and granddaughters, Caroline, Charlotte and Eloise. She is also sorely missed by her best friend and soul sister, Paula Foster, and her sister Wendy Adair, brother Bruce Hilty, his wife Theresa Johnson and nieces Katie, Samantha and Shirley.

Mrs Riley was like a second Mom to me after Cullen and I became best friends growing up. I spent countless hours at their house after my parents were divorced from about 8 years old on. Cullen's house felt safe and you could always count on Mrs Riley to talk to us kids like real people. Sometimes adults don't connect with kids on that level but she was a master at it. You knew in your heart she cared and wanted the best for Cullen, Brent and I. The Rileys took me everywhere. (Movies, art lessons, baseball, golf, space camp, summer camp, outward bound, beach vacations, motorcycle riding, jet skiing, boating, hunting, fishing, lake vacations, school shopping and the list goes on) I remember she would tell us stories in the car to pass the time on road trips while Mr Riley drove. She never complained about us kids even though we were pretty bad at times. She made sure I never felt left out or behind. When I was in second grade I came down with pneumonia and Mr and Mrs Riley came and visited me in the hospital. I don't remember anyone else coming to the hospital but I remember them. She brought me a couple toys and they made sure I knew they cared. Years later after Cullen passed and I was struggling with addiction, I ended up in a hospital in the hill country. I was there maybe one week and Mr and Mrs Riley drove 8 hrs out of their way to come see me on a Sunday. Mr and Mrs Riley are two of the most kind and caring people Ive ever known and it breaks my heart to know that she's gone. Mr Riley and Brent I hope that if you ever need anything that you will reach out to me so I can be here for you like you guys were for me. Love Stephen.

BARB, I loved you so much. Favorite memory was Pat, you and I
going out to a country place and doing a little fishing and your mother was there. I don´t think we caught anything but we had so many laughs that day and I am so blessed to still have pictures as we were walking on a narrow bridge trying not to fall down, fishing, telling stories, and laughing .
I am thinking of you and your family every day, as tears were splashing in my coffee when I heard the news. Rejoicing now that you are pain free, And celebrating with family of the past, and Jesus our Lord and Savior....thinking of Wayne, your son and those girls, knowing your happiness and love that they brought to your life. And second memory this is my favorite is our group.
THE WILDTANGS.... And "THE 40 SOMETHING "Dinner and lunch And sometimes cocktails. We were not gonna let Westchester separate all of our TRUE friendships.
We continued on and especially today that means the world to me. Barbara, so beautiful, so gracious inside and out.
And there is one more memory that I didn´t even know about till recently. You came to the hospital and stayed till my son was born. Kept my husband from being so nervous. You made me feel so special. That gorgeous smile! Such a true friend. And I will love you forever and ever.. till we meet again, sheryl
