Ben Maniscalco Obituary

BEN MANISCALCO died September 25, 2002 at age 81 in Houston, TX; preceded in death by Dolores, his beloved wife of 55 years; dear father of Ron (Theresa) Maniscalco, Donna (Ron) Koska and Ned (Linda) Maniscalco; grandfather of Kate (Ken) Herrell, Dan Maniscalco, Angela Maniscalco, Jeremy Koska and Toby Jones; great-grandfather of Benjamin Herrell and Emma Krasnosky; dear friend of Helen Brown and many others. Ben was a graduate of Central High School in St. Louis, where he distinguished himself on the track team. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a long-time employee of Davis Catering and a member of Teamsters Local 688 in St. Louis. After retirement he was active in the Knights of Columbus and volunteered at the Chamber of Commerce and Lake Ozark General Hospital in Lake Ozark, MO. The family extends special thanks to the staff of Clarewood ECC for the loving care they gave "Mr. Ben" during his final days. A memorial service will be conducted at Clarewood House, 7400 Clarewood Drive, Houston, TX at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 5, 2002. Ben will be laid to rest in a private ceremony at Resthaven Cemetery, Houston, Texas. Contributions in Ben's memory may be made to Clarewood House Chapel Renovation Fund, The Hospice at the Texas Medical Center, or a charity of the donor's choice.
