Sophie,
My thoughts and prayers are with you and all of Ben's family. He was instrumental in teaching me radio. We had some great times at KFRD and on remotes.

I grew up listening to 'ol farmer' Ben Oldag playing polka records on KFRD. Years later, I got to meet him - ah, those were the days..... My thoughts and prayers are with the Oldag family at this sad time.....

So sorry to learn of Ben's passing. I knew him as the garden man on KPRC Radio when I was his producer, and I would see him around town from time to time. A great man and a friend.

To the Oldag Family,
I had the pleasure of meeting Ben through my husband, Mike Edmonds, who worked with him at KTRH. I have fond memories of his teasing me about my cooking, offering "advice" on how to be a "good wife" and just generally of how kind he was. I hope he meets up with Mike, as they were both angels who loved their families and loved life.
