To the family of Betty Blair:

It is just today that I realized it was your mom that suffered the terrible tragedy.

Although we did not know your mom and dad well, my husband and I were members of Baywood Country Club and were lucky enough to spend time with them in golf tournaments and other parties at the club. They were the sweetest couple, always smiling, and we were so sad to realize this was the Betty we knew years ago.

We'd just like you to know that we will continue to keep your family in our prayers.

God bless you and keep you.

Betty Blair is dancing on streets of gold with all the angels and saints. We miss her and it is a great loss to her family and Pasadena community and her beloved St. Pius V. I never had Betty as a teacher but everyone knew who she was. I hold the name of Bettys family before the Lord in prayer asking for peace of great understanding and a calmness. I knew Mrs. Blair when I was 6 years old having just came over here from Vietnam a year before with my family. Mrs. Blair brought my family of 13 into her loving arms and introduced us to St. Pius V. She took care of my family - coming over daily to teach my mother English, making sure we received an education at St. Pius although we lived in poverty, made sure my family had a safe place to live, and so much more immeasurable compassionate gestures - and never once did the smile leave her lovely face.

My entire family owes our deepest gratitude to Mrs. Blair and her family for their love of God, their love of people, and especially - their love for us. We love you Mrs. Blair and you will always live on in our hearts.

To the Blair Family,

I left Pasadena in July 03. Last year I attended a wedding at St. Pius and I was so glad to see both Bob and Betty standing in the foyer. They were a beautiful couple. I was so sad when I heard of Bob's death, and I am also sadden by Betty's tragic death. I will always remember your mom as I saw her so often together with your dad ....smiling and holding hands and greeting people with cheery hello's and big hugs. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

I am so very sorry about the death of your mother. As mentioned by everyone else your parents were outstanding people and will never be forgotten. My prayer for you is that you find peace in the fact that your Mother went to God doing what she loved doing....helping others. You now have one more angel to watch over you and yours.

My prayers are with you.

I never knew Mrs. Blair existed until my pastor told of this tragedy in church last Sunday. I do know now that Mrs. Blair was a Woman of God. I do know now that Mrs. Blair lived her life to glorify God. I do know now that Mrs. Blair was deeply loved by so many people. I can't begin to comprehend the pain that is felt by the family and friends of Mrs. Blair. If I didn't know Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour, I would be asking why? Why this precious woman that selflessly helped others all of the time.

I do KNOW that she sits with our Father God and that He is well pleased with her. I do KNOW that everyday she lived on earth was Gods will. I do KNOW that she now Dances with the Angels and that she has seen the face of God! I hope that one day, I can be as faithful, as kind and as trusting without prejudice as Mrs. Blair was.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of this precious angel that God sent to this earth 77 years ago to fulfill so many lives and to be the shining example that she will always be. Nothing can seperate us from God, not even death. Mrs. Blair has truly left a legacy. God's mercy and Grace be upon all of her friends, family and loved ones.

Dearest Missi, Words cannot express the depth of pain that I and so many others are feeling this week. Please know that you, your sisters and the rest of your family are loved greatly and are in the prayers of more people than you can imagine! Your mom (and dad) were models of God's love and compassion and they are missed dearly. Stay strong honey!

To the Blair Family,

Both of your parent's were such special people. After Mr. Bob's passing, Miss Betty and I emailed each other frequently. I learned so much about your family in the last 6 months. Your parent's were my husband and my "prayer couple" during our engagent and I know that continued all of this time. I was stunned when I heard of her tragic passing. There are so many people who knew and loved her. What a beautiful lady inside and out. Her generosity and love of others will never be forgotten...Rest in Peace Miss Betty...

Dede, Judy, and Missy,

I am writing on behalf of my parents Bob and Kathie Brock. They are out of the country on a trip, but I did get the terrible news of your mother's death to them. They said to tell you how saddened they are and how much they regret not being able to attend the funeral. Your mother was a beautiful person. I remember seeing and visiting with her at the Brock reunion this summer. May the LORD bring you comfort and healing in your heartache and loss. I join you in being thankful for her life.

To the daughters and other family members of Betty Blair. I did not have Mrs. Blair as a teacher but do remember her as being such a sweet lady. My sister Nancy Cook had her in 2nd and 5th grades and loved her dearly.

I am so sorry for the loss of your sweet Mother. Please know you will be in my prayers that God will give you comfort, peace - and especially joy at the remembrance of your Mother. She is rejoicing with Jesus as I write this. And though you may be such great pain today - you can know that you will see her again and rejoice with her in heaven one day. Diana

I have no words that can express my overwhelming sense of loss. I have such crystal memories of your mother and her grace and kindness. At the funerals of my brother and my mother, both of your parents were there with their love and support. What treasures they were. Regretfully, I am traveling and will be out of town at the time of the rosary and the funeral. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. May God hold you close within the palm of His hand and bring comfort to your heart.

My heart and prayers go out to the family of Mrs. Betty BLair. I Know the loss you feel, but be omforted in knowing that Mrs. Blair was loved by so many. She will always be remembered as the wonderful, giving person who always did everything she could to help others. She was a true imitator of Christ the way Jesus wants us all to live our lives. She has set a fine example for us to follow and taught us, by her actions, how we are to be true Christians. She was one of my elementary teachers and she taught me and, all of us, that God never gives us more than we can handle. Thank you, Mrs. Blair and may you rest in peace. Amen.

I am so sorry for the loss of your mother, grandmother and sister. Betty really touched my life as she did so many others. She always had a smile on her face and was ready to help. I admired her so much. She watched my late husband Don Abel grow up and then she watched my kids Donny and Shannon grow up. She and Bob were the best of the best!!!. I know she is in a very special place in heaven she died doing what Jesus asked us all to do but only a few have the courage to follow his path.

All my sympathy and Love go to her family at this time.

I just wanted to express my sincere sympathy over the loss of Betty. I knew Betty as Cathy B. Aunt Betty and had met her many times over the years in Austin. I will always remember her as Aunt Betty who took all the family photos. Her outgoing personality always lit up every room she entered; she will truly be missed. I wish the entire Blair family a continued life of hope, love, peace and great memories. Betty lives on in each you and a little bit more in all that knew her.

Condolences to Mrs. Blair's children in the loss of your mother. Especially when you lost your father so recently. Mrs. Blair was my elementary school teacher and I will always remember her as "the prettiest teacher". I just can't believe she's gone. Her legacy is magnificent and will live on in her children. I had talked to Mrs. Blair by e-mail several months ago. I feel the loss greatly and can't even imagine the pain her family is feeling from this tragedy. To Mrs. Blair: thank you for sharing your life with me and your other students. You taught us to always do the right thing.
