1934-2022
Betty Jo Griffiths (Berkeland), age 88, of Houston, TX went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on March 19, 2022.
Betty was a shining light with a bright smile and twinkle in her eyes for all that knew and met her. She loved her family and friends and enjoyed every minute spending time with all of them. She loved traveling the world and had been to 53 countries
Betty Griffiths is survived by her daughter, Karen Smithley Estes and Charles "C.W" Griffiths, Jr and his wife. She is also survived by two sisters and one brother: Virgie Buschmann, Golden Lucille Smith and James R. Berkeland. She was preceded in death by her parents (Ray and Lola Berkeland), two sisters (Lola Mertens and Alice Edson) and her son (George W. Smithley, Sr.) She is also survived by 9 Grandchildren, 17 Great Grandchildren and one Great Great Grandchild.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at Northside Christian Church (20250 Kuykendahl Rd, Spring, TX 77379) at 3:00 PM on Saturday, April 2, 2022. The family is requesting that donations be made to the American Heart Association on behalf of Betty Griffiths in lieu of flowers. Her final resting place will be at Seaside Memorial Park in Corpus Christi, TX.
We will always carry her memories in our hearts.
