Beverly Washburn Obituary

Beverly Ann
Washburn
1939-2021
Beverly Ann Washburn 82 was ushered lovingly into the arms of her Lord Jesus on Christmas morning 2021 while surrounded by her Angels and her family. She was born in Fort Worth Texas on Feb 16, 1939, as Beverly Ann Eubanks but was adopted by Mary Helen and Bernard Collins and lived the first 12 years of her life primarily in Mexico City. This is where she developed a love for mariachi music and learned Spanish fluently. After 12 years Mary H. and Bernard divorced, and her mother later married Harold W. Seifert who quickly adopted both Beverly and her little brother Donald W. Seifert.
Beverly attended Spring Branch HS after they moved back to the states but loved Mexico so much that she went back to Mexico to complete her education.
Beverly was a member of the international Rainbow Girls in the 50's and was an avid track runner as well as a concert pianist playing several venues in Mexico City. She purchased KANI radio in Wharton Texas in 1975 and had several entrepreneurial successes over the years of her life. There was no challenge that mom would shrink back from!
Beverly had 4 children and married 2 great loves during her life. She married Sherman M. Irish from 1972 until he went to be with The Lord in 1986 and then married Leroy F. Washburn from 1993 until he went to be with The Lord in 2012. Beverly is survived by her 4 children whom she adored; Daughters Ana Marie Rendon and her husband Larry and Kelly Gilman Post and her husband Greg; Son's Jeff Pierson and his wife Kathy and Leo B. Irish and his wife Alicia. She is survived by 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Even though Beverly had some challenging times in life she always found a way to bring life, love and laughter to others. Beverly was sober for the past 39 years as a friend to Bill W and she helped many people find their own road to recovery. She never looked down on a soul for where they were but always gave them the pearls of wisdom needed for them to change their lives. She loved God and she loved people; this world was a much brighter place while she was here.
Visitation and the Funeral will be held at Heights Funeral Home in Houston. Visitation will be from 5-7 PM Tuesday the 4th of Jan 2021 and the funeral will be Wednesday the 5th of Jan 2021 at 10:00 AM. Ms Beverly was such an amazing lovely person whom I will hold dear to my heart. I will cherish the few visits we shared together. I will remember her singing Happy Birthday to me in Spanish. I will think of her the next time me and Honey go to the fishing park, wish we would have had the chance to take her. I know that I am only one of so many lives that she touched and I know that she will live on in the memories of everyone you met. And Ms Beverly, don't worry...I will keep my promise to take care of Kelly for you (the best that I can). Miss you already.
