Brian Kennedy Obituary

BRIAN STEPHEN KENNEDY, 50, passed away suddenly Friday, August 10, 2007. Brian was the beloved son of Jutta Karin and Andrew E. Kennedy. Brian, a native Houstonian, graduated from Milby High School in 1975. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy, serving on board the U.S.S. Nimitz. Brian worked in restaurant management for many years and was, more recently, self-employed as a mechanic. Brian's charm, kindness and wonderful sense of humor will be missed by us all. His greatest joy in life was to bring a smile to someone's face or to lend a helping hand whenever he could. He loved animals and his German Shepherd, Senta, will sorely miss him. Brian was preceded in death by his father, Andrew, and, his nephews Noah, John, Paul and Luke and a niece, Mary. Brian is survived by his loving family including his mother, Karin, of Houston; son, Beau Stephen Kennedy, of Pearland and granddaughter. Emmarie Elizabeth; brothers, Andrew Kennedy of Pearland and Patrick Kennedy and wife, Melinda, of El Toro, CA; sisters, Michele Freeman of LaGrange, GA and Andrea Yates; nieces and nephews, Cherise, Jessica, Ryan, Christine, Kylie, Kylisha, Kalin and Krystal; and two grandnephews and a grandniece. Arrangements pending, Corl-Crowder Funeral Home, 2422 Broadway, Pearland, Texas, 77581, (281) 412-3000. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Yates Children Memorial Fund, c/o Mental Health Association of Greater Houston, 2211 Norfolk, Suite 810, Houston, Texas, 77098.

To Brian's loving family... I pray that God will comfort your hearts and surround you with his enduring love. As my parents and siblings and I talk about "Y" swimming lessons and swim teams... the Kennedy family always comes to mind. Brian was always a great leader and inspired those around him even that long ago. I know you will miss him greatly. I pray for your family often. May God bless you all and may you experience His peace.
With love,
