Catherine Callis Obituary

CATHERINE GREENE ("BOBBIE") CALLIS, dearest sister, mother, and grandmother, went peacefully to her Eternal Rest August 4, 2004. Bobbie was born in Lake Charles, Louisiana, on August 3, 1926. She is preceded in death by her husband of fifty-five years, Ben Callis; her parents, Sam and Ruby Greene; and her sister, Virginia Lalanne. Bobbie is survived by her sister, Juanita Greene, and her brother, Frank Greene. She also leaves devoted children and grandchildren, Cathy and Jim Lamb and their children, Winston and Stephen; Ben Callis, Jr., and his sons Caben and Sam; Margaret and Walter Horton and their children Lucas, Madeline, and Adrienne; Sam and Katy Callis and his children Samantha and Ben; Theresa and Jaime Crespo and their sons Nicholas and Andre; Becky Harris and her sons Zachary and Mason and stepson, Dustin; Larry Harris; and Robert Callis and his children, Robert, Katrina, and Bradley. Grandbobbie cherished the newest members of the family, Karissa Horton, Ann Callis, and Shanna Callis as well as her two great grandchildren, Cason Callis and Austin Callis, and eight nieces and nephews. Services were held August 6. The family appreciates the kind support of many colleagues, neighbors, and friends.
