Charles Chadd Obituary

Charles Chadd
1932-2018
Charles Wesley Chadd, 86, of Houston, Texas, entered peacefully into eternal life on October 3, 2018. Born in Omaha, Nebraska on October 3, 1932 to Claire and Hazel Chadd, Charlie graduated from South High in Omaha in 1950. He married Beverly Gilman on September 5, 1954, and after serving in the U.S. Army of Occupation in Baumholder, Germany, he graduated with a Bachelor of Science from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln in 1958. He was the proud owner of American Welding Alloys; he built strong relationships with his customers and he continued to work until his death.
Charlie is survived by his wife of 64 years, Beverly; his daughter, Valerie Edwards (Wes); his son, Alan (Tina); and his grandchildren, Trent, Kevin and Ryan Edwards and Lark and Lyla Chadd.
As his son Alan noted, Charlie was a model of masculinity, strength, values and character. He had a strong work ethic, a devious sense of humor, and he loved his family. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 13 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm at The Forest Club, 9950 Memorial Drive, Houston, and the family would like to encourage all who knew him to join them in remembering Charlie.
