Charles Dunbar Obituary
Dunbar, born Sept. 6, 1948, passed away July 26, 2012. He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife, Janice Fay Dunbar; son: Drew Michael Dunbar; daughter: Kimberly Fay Dunbar Yarger and husband Stephen; grandchildren: Charlsie Grace Yarger, and Harrison Lee Yarger; and numerous other family and friends. The family will receive friends on Mon., Aug. 6 at 10567 Veterans Memorial Dr., at 1:00 p.m. A chapel service will be held at 1:15 p.m. with interment to follow at Houston National Cemetery with Military honors. Charlie was a man that Janet and I always admired. When he was a teenager we loved receiving photos and thought of him as "the great good-looking all-American kid". Then we received the photo of Charlie in his US Naval Whites - Richard Gere wouldn't have stood a chance!
Charlie undoubtedly proved to be a very brave and courageous man. My regret is that we never got to meet, but I am so very glad that my sister, Janet, did last summer.
Please accept our heartfelt condolences. Thinking of you all at this very sad and difficult time.

As a little girl I only knew Charlie in photographs, but last year I had the honour of meeting him for the first time and what a pleasure that was. He was such a lovely man and his broad grin and that twinkle in his eye will remain with me always. We shall all miss him so much nobody more than Jan and her family and Val too. I hope now Charlie is at peace and can set up home inside our dreams.
