He is my grandfather, and I was saddened to see that his obituary legacy is missing a photo. This was the photo that appeared originally on his obit page, albeit not inside a frame.
He was a good, hard-working man who went through a lot in his youth, but overcame that and became a physician. He cared for his family deeply, despite having a gruff exterior. We all miss him!

In 1965 our family moved back to Houston, Texas. Our family of four needed a physician and our good neighbors, Bill and Virginia Zuber recommended Dr. Heider. What a blessing Dr. Heider was to our family. For over 20 years he was our doctor and our friend. We loved him and will miss him.

Dr. Heider diagnosed my mother with breast cancer 29 years ago and she survived because he was diligent and a great DR!

I knew Dr. Heider as both a student at U of H and as a co-worker at the UH Health Center. My heart felt wishes goes out to his family and friends. He was the greatest diagnostician I ever met.

My condolences to the family of Dr. Heider. I worked with him for several years at the UH Health Center. I will remember his humor and dry wit. God Bless You.

I called on Dr. Heider at the Sun Valley Clinic, and then at U of H in the early '90's for Sandoz Pharmaceuticals. I know he practiced good medicine, and was of a breed of doctors that unfortunately are rarely found anymore. May your knowledge that he made a great contribution to the patients he treated, and to their families, be a comfort to you.

My prayers are with you all. He is with Christ, with Whom we will be united. I was briefly a patient of Dr. Heider back in the 1970's. He was a very caring man and doctor. Is there anything I may do to help? God go with you all.
